Laurenz Engel is a Master student at the Institute of Medical Bioinformatics at the University Medical Center Göttingen and student assistant at the PLRI. He holds a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the Georg-August University Göttingen.

He works on the CKDNapp project, assisting in the development and maintenance of the CKDNapp website, as well as implementation of mathematical models under the supervision of Prof. Helena U. Zacharias.
